The Great Valley Museum at MJC and the Modesto Symphony Orchestra bring you this unique opportunity to experience the beauty of nature paired with California wines and appetizers, plus an outdoor concert performed by the talented Farallon Quintet (string quartet plus clarinet).
Guests can tour the new Great Valley Museum Outdoor Nature Lab which exhibits the native plants and rocks of the Central Valley. This outdoor lab is closely connected to MJC’s curriculum for biology, botany, zoology, geology and earth sciences. The Farallon Quintet takes its name from the Farallon Islands, located off the coast of San Francisco and represents the group’s inspiration which is founded in the simplicity and beauty of nature–in fact the group is known to intersperse rehearsals with mountain hikes and road trips to discover the natural beauty of Northern California.
