A powerful community concert event with a purpose—performed by the next generation of artists.
Experience an extraordinary celebration of young musical talent as five premier youth orchestras unite on one stage at the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. On January 24, 2026, the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra, Napa Valley Youth Symphony, Reno Phil Youth Symphony Orchestra, Sacramento Youth Symphony, and Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra join forces for a one-day festival of artistry, collaboration, and community impact.
Each ensemble will showcase its unique sound in a series of 10-15 minute performances, culminating in a thrilling massed finale featuring all musicians together as the Festival Orchestra. More than a concert, the proceeds from this event will benefit teen health and organizations serving unhoused youth, with each orchestra supporting a nonprofit that directly serves vulnerable young people in its own community.

Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra, side-by-side
April’s concert is filled with inspiring and youthful energy featuring Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals! This piece depicts various animals in their natural habitats through the different colors and timbres of the orchestra. Following that, we’ll dive deeper into the sounds of the orchestra with a piece by Modesto’s own and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist composer Andrew Norman. The program will end with Copland’s Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo with the young musicians of the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra playing side-by-side on Hoedown.

5 lb bag of cat or dog dry food
Donations will be accepted before the start of each concert on April 11 & 12 starting from 6:30 pm until 7:15 pm. A winner from from each concert will be chosen. The winners will be contacted by April 18, 2025.
Dog Adoptions in Gallo Center for the Arts Lobby
We will have Stanislaus Animal Services Agency (SASA) holding dog adoptions in the lobby before our Carnival of the Animals concerts! 🐶😍
Please bring a Valid ID to adopt!
Adoption fees may apply. Fees range from $112 - $120, fees are due at the time of spay/neuter, unless the dog is already altered.
All dogs have age-appropriate vaccines, microchips, and will be altered before the adoption is finalized.
The SASA Team will be there to answer questions and help you take your new best friend home! See you there! 👋
