MODESTO, CA – Relive the magic of Jurassic Park on the big screen accompanied by a thrilling, live performance of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra! Led by Principal Pops Conductor Ryan Murray, the concerts will take place on May 29, 2026 at 7:30 pm and May 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Press Release: Modesto Symphony Orchestra & Chorus to Perform Carmina Burana, Celebrating 95 Years of Music
MODESTO, CA – The Modesto Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will close their Classics Series with performances of Carmina Burana on May 8 & 9, 2026 led by Music Director Nicholas Hersh. The concerts will feature the MSO Chorus, directed by Daniel R. Afonso Jr., the Central Valley Youth Chorus, directed by Beth Holtan, and will also feature guest soloists: soprano Anastasia Malliaras, tenor Daniel Ebbers, and bass Malcolm MacKenzie. Members of the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra will have the opportunity to perform side-by-side with the professional musicians of the MSO on Glinka’s Overture from Ruslan und Ludmilla.
Modesto Symphony Orchestra Celebrates 95th Anniversary with Fundraiser at the State Theatre
MODESTO, CA – The Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association (MSOA) will host a fundraiser to celebrate their 95th Anniversary on April 10, 2026 at 7:30 pm at The State Theatre. The evening will feature a chamber orchestra performance by the Modesto Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Nicholas Hersh, and violinist Amaryn Olmeda on Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. All proceeds from the event will support the MSOA’s music education programs including the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Link Up program, as well as a free performance for local students held earlier in the week with Ms. Olmeda and MSO performing selections of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

MODESTO, CA – The Modesto Symphony Orchestra (MSO) presents a concert celebrating 25 years of the music and animation of Disney and Pixar films on March 13 & 14, 2026 at 7:30 pm. Pixar in Concert will feature music and visuals from 15 classics, including Pixar’s inaugural full-length computer animated film “Toy Story” (1995), and the Academy Award®-winning films “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “WALL-E,” “Up,” “Coco” and “Toy Story 3.”
