Composers and musicians create melodies, which can be sung or played on instruments. When an orchestra plays these melodies, the orchestra sings. Through the Link Up repertoire, hands-on activities, and a culminating interactive performance with the Modesto Symphony Orchestra and Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra, we will discover how the orchestra sings!
Repertoire Highlights Include:
Thomas Cabaniss’s “Come to Play” and “To Make Words Sing”
Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”
Brackett’s “Simple Gifts”
