Modesto Symphony Chorus
Formed in 2001, the Modesto Symphony Chorus is a regional ensemble of singers of all ages and experience who share a commitment to performing concerts of the highest artistic quality and enhancing the appreciation and enjoyment of choral music among members and audiences alike. Under the skillful and inspiring direction of Dr. Daniel R. Afonso, Jr., the MSO Chorus rehearses weekly and performs throughout the season with the Modesto Symphony Orchestra and also for additional community events.
Rehearsals and Calendar
The Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus rehearsals are Monday evenings, 7:00–10:00, at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 1600 Carver Road, Modesto, beginning September 10, 2018. Are you interested in joining the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus? Openings exist in all sections of the Chorus; tenors and basses especially are encouraged to audition. Fall 2018 auditions will be held on August 28 (Tu) and 30 (Th), 7:00-9:00 p.m., in Modesto at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, and August 29 (W), 6:00-7:30 p.m., in Turlock at Cal State Stanislaus, Room M-38. Membership in the MSO Chorus requires ongoing commitment throughout the season. Consistent attendance and preparation at rehearsals is essential to performance quality, educational value, morale of ensemble and retention of membership.
