ABOUT THE GUILD
Formed in 1953, the Modesto Symphony Guild is a non-profit organization whose express purpose is to support and promote the growth of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association through fundraising and volunteer efforts. The Modesto Symphony Guild is proud to be nearing a total contribution mark of $1 million to the Modesto Symphony since its inception. Education and Outreach
• Music Scholarship Award Program
• Classroom docent program
• Musicians’ refreshments
Administrative Support
• Assist MSOA staff in the office with various duties including mailing campaigns, answering telephones and general office work
Fund Raising Events:
• Autumn Rhapsody" Fall Gala: The premiere social event of the season, the Guild presents its annual Gala in autumn which includes dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
• Breakfast with Santa: A community tradition, the annual Breakfast with Santa sees some 200 children enjoy breakfast and having their picture taken with Santa Claus while being entertained by The Dance Factory, Expressions “Modesto Community Youth in Song” and the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra. All proceeds raised go to the Modesto Symphony Guild Music Scholarship Fund.
• Bach in the Barn: To cap off our yearly fundraisers, each spring the Guild presents Bach in the Barn. This is a casual fun-filled evening of barbecued down-home cooking, music and dancing plus a silent auction. Don you Western wear and kick up your heels!
